Conviva, a subsidiary of Humana focused on senior care, needed a way to consolidate health data from multiple Bluetooth-connected monitoring devices into a single, unified application. The target users were low-income, low-technology patients who needed a simple, accessible solution for self-monitoring.

The challenge was multifaceted: integrate data from different device manufacturers with different protocols, build an interface simple enough for patients with limited technology experience, and create backend workflows robust enough to support Conviva's clinical research teams studying device usage and patient behavior.

Speed was critical: the research program had a fixed window, and the app needed to be in patients' hands quickly.

We delivered a connected care MVP tailored for both real-world patient use and clinical research. The 45-screen iPad application was designed with accessibility as the primary constraint: large touch targets, clear visual hierarchy, and minimal cognitive load for elderly patients.

The app integrates multiple Bluetooth device inputs into a single monitoring hub, normalizing data from different manufacturers into a consistent format. Backend workflows feed into Power BI dashboards, giving Conviva's research teams real-time visibility into device usage patterns and patient health metrics.

The project was completed in weeks, not months, demonstrating that production-ready healthcare software doesn't require enterprise timelines.
